Rāhina was a little crazy as the tamariki are required to wear swim caps at Aquagym, hence all the green heads in the photos!! Today was awesome, the kids knew what needed to happen and what they had to do - ka pai koutou. So proud of many of the tamariki for facing their fears, having a growth mindset to overcome their personal challenges. Can't wait to see what they achieve by Friday. Reminder Tau 4- 6 are able to enter in the school swim sports next week. More information will go home Friday if your child has entered.
What a blast!! Thank you to those parents and whānau who attended, it was great to connect, meet and catch up. Your help with swimming supervision, making of beds, organising kai, washing dishes, back for breakfast and lunch was noted and totally appreciated. Thank you to Phoenix for sharing your birthday and cake with us. If you took any photo's please email to me to share.
Some of our tamariki reflections: Ngaia - I liked swimming because we went swimming in the dark. Te Anahera - I liked noho kura because we got free time in the pool. Manaia - I thought the cake was yummy. Janika - I liked the shared kai because it was yum. Fern - My favourite part was meeting everyone. Kieran - I liked going to bed because it was cosy. India - I liked going to the pool because she was diving. Manaahi - I liked going to bed because it was warm. Manea - I liked the pool because I liked the free time there. It was a hot fun day at Spencer Park for Pouakai, thank you to Michelle and Jaz for making our trip possible! The tamariki had a blast playing sports, on the playground, chillaxing with friends and the sausage sizzle was a hit!
Self portraits, tamariki dying the self portraits, harakeke manu, working collaboratively and tukutuku creations. It has been a busy day in TTRR, looking forward to the rest of the week.
Ka pai tamariki! What a busy week we had, lots of talking, sharing and getting connected! Children have been learning about Te Tiriti o Waitangi (photo's to come), started a variety of art activities, swimming and a day off in the middle. Riroriro started Kimihia on Friday and here is Rangi completing some of our tukutuku panel!!
